EEA financial Partners set the date for recouping their investment and the utilisation of the profits that are generated. For example, they might choose to repeatedly invest in the same business or fund another social business, or they may want to help the initial business open a target market in a new geographic area.
Different from other business partnerships, when an EEA Partner recoups their investment they continue to be involved in determining future growth. Some EEA Partners may choose to forfeit interest to allow others in the impoverished country of Tanzania to receive funding. In every case, each Partner enjoys a far greater return on their investment than in the regular marketplace, although not necessarily in the traditional sense.
One of our social investor said:
“I will invest $ 1500 to group micro-lending project in Tanzania. I want to become a social investor. That means I will invest with no interest. I take over the risk so that the poor people will improve their quality of life. In three years, I have a right to recoup my money back or decide to disburse it to other borrowers.”
If you decide to be an investor, you will also receive a quarterly report on how the clients are doing. You can even visit them in Tanzania and witness with your eyes the impact of your support.
Example:
If a person takes a loan of $100, within six months, the borrower is able to repay the loan and that $100 is recycled to impact the lives of another family. In doing that, you will eliminate poverty and provide a life in human dignity.
